About Us
In 1977, after college, I went to work for Furman Homes in The Dalles, where I built mobile home frames. After that I went to work for Tum-A-Lumber Lumber Co. in The Dalles, where I was employed for 8 years. In 1987 I became partners with my father in Bob Brown Const, Inc. One of the major projects we worked on together was the Brewery Grade Project, which consisted of the concrete retaining walls. We also constructed the Gift Shop at The Mid-Columbia Medical Center and the Bath House at The Dalles Natatorium. He later retired from the company to work for the City of The Dalles. During the construction of the Wasco County Courthouse Elevator, I worked as acting supervisor for Silco Construction. I worked a few years for Howell Construction out of Hood River, OR; before going to work for Kelly & O'Brien Construction in The Dalles, OR.
In 1999, I restarted Robert Brown Construction. Some of the projects I have worked on have been The Sugar Bowl & Johnny's Cafe. I have done work as far away as Burns, OR and Lincoln City, OR.
Currently I am doing Residential Construction & Home Design.
